Student Programs

The Gandhi Memorial Center offers special student programs in cooperation with the DC nonprofit organizations: CHIME (Children’s Help in Music Education) and MOMIES’ TLC (an after-school enrichment program). The Gandhi Memorial Center is now a member of the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative and will be offering more arts programs to DC Public Schools.

In addition to introducing the students to the life ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, artists of Indian music, dance and visual arts have voluntarily offered their services for these educational programs. These contributions have included:

• Indian classical and devotional music
• Traditional Indian art forms
• Indian classical dance
