"Visions of Gandhi" – Bi-Annual Photo Contest

2010 "Visions of Gandhi" Photo Contest:
 
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this contest is to encourage individuals to creatively explore the ideals and message of Mahatma Gandhi through the art of photography.
 
THEMES: (Quotations from Mahatma Gandhi)
1) "All the religions of the world, while they may differ in other respects, unitedly proclaim that nothing lives in this world but Truth."
2) "In a gentle way, you can shake the world."
3) "Interdependence is and ought to be as much the ideal of man as self-sufficiency."
 
GUIDELINES:
1) Submit photos you have personally taken that in some way portray one or more of the above themes.
2) Submit up to three photos.
3) Photos must be visually appealing with no improper content.
4) Submissions may be from amateur as well as professional photographers and will be judged separately.
5) Photos may be sent as digital or print images and must include: Name of Photographer, Age, Address and Email Address, brief statement of how the photo depicts the selected theme, and brief bio statement. Please include whether photographer is amateur or professional.

7) Deadline is October 1, 2010.
8) The Gandhi Memorial Center has the right to use any submitted photo with recognition given to the artist in website and print publications.
9) An online gallery will be created for the top photographs as judged by a panel of select judges including professional and amateur photographers.
10) The artist is responsible for obtaining permission to submit the photo from any individuals include in the photo.
